Ahmedabad, July 10: Vedic astrology researcher Dr. Jignesh Jani has shared his views on the current geopolitical environment through the lens of traditional Jyotish, explaining that many practitioners symbolically interpret the present planetary alignments as reflecting a period of international transformation, economic uncertainty, and evolving diplomatic relationships. He emphasized that these interpretations are symbolic in nature and should not be regarded as scientifically established predictions of future geopolitical events.
According to Dr. Jani, Vedic astrology has, for centuries, studied planetary movements as symbolic indicators of broader collective cycles. He explained that the ongoing Mars–Rahu conjunction, traditionally referred to as Angarak Yoga, is associated in classical astrology with assertive energy, strategic competition, military preparedness, and periods of heightened geopolitical activity. While these symbolic associations have long been discussed in traditional astrology, he clarified that they should not be interpreted as forecasts of specific conflicts or political outcomes.
Dr. Jani also highlighted the significance of the Saturn–Neptune alignment, which many astrological traditions associate with institutional restructuring, ideological transitions, policy reforms, and changing global power dynamics. According to him, these symbolic themes encourage reflection on how nations adapt to shifting economic and political realities.
Speaking about Jupiter, Dr. Jani noted that it is traditionally regarded in Vedic astrology as the planet of wisdom, ethics, justice, education, and diplomacy. Many astrologers believe Jupiter serves as a balancing influence that promotes responsible leadership, constructive dialogue, and peaceful negotiations during periods of uncertainty.
Dr. Jani stressed that international developments are ultimately shaped by diplomacy, economic policy, technological advancement, security considerations, and the decisions of governments and international institutions. Astrology, he said, should be viewed as a complementary cultural perspective rather than an evidence-based forecasting tool.
“Vedic astrology provides symbolic insights into collective human experiences, but the future is determined by human actions and leadership,” Dr. Jani said. “Peace, stability, and international cooperation depend on informed decisions, meaningful dialogue, and the willingness of nations to resolve differences through diplomacy.”
Concluding his remarks, Dr. Jani encouraged readers to appreciate Vedic astrology as part of India’s traditional knowledge while maintaining a clear distinction between symbolic astrological interpretation and factual geopolitical analysis. He expressed hope that global cooperation and responsible leadership will continue to guide the world toward peace, stability, and sustainable progress.
