Mumbai-based filmmaker Varun Kaushik has developed his professional career through television, advertising and commercial content production. Working as a filmmaker, writer and producer, he has built experience across multiple forms of visual media and is now preparing to enter Hindi feature cinema with his upcoming film MIYAAD.
Kaushik was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and later relocated to Mumbai. His initial professional experience came through television reality shows associated with established television networks. His work in television provided an early introduction to the production process and the collaborative nature of the entertainment industry.
After his television work, Kaushik moved into advertising and ad-film production. His professional portfolio expanded to include television commercials, digital films, brand films, photography and digital content. In 2019, Kaushik established Varun Kaushik Films in Mumbai. The production company works across a variety of commercial and digital formats, including television commercials, digital films, brand films, photography, digital content and production services.
His commercial production experience includes associations with projects for brands such as Samsung, MG Hector, Godrej Interio, Mahindra, Men of Platinum, Dalda and Luminous Solar Panels, among others. These productions form part of his professional work in advertising and branded visual content.
The establishment of his own production company has also allowed Kaushik to continue developing projects across different formats. His experience includes both commercial productions and digital content, while his latest professional direction is feature filmmaking.
Kaushik is making his feature-film debut with MIYAAD, an upcoming Hindi film scheduled for 2027. He is credited as the writer, director and producer of the project.
